Norfolk House Terms and Conditions

Payments

Please note that your deposit is non-refundable. Unless in exceptional circumstances, deposits are non-transferable. Full payment is required on cancellations if we cannot re-let the room. If after your arrival you unfortunately have to curtail your stay full payment is still required.

For bookings made at short notice without a deposit we will require full payment on arrival. It is recommended that you take out holiday insurance for your booking.


Arrival

Rooms are available from Noon on the day of your arrival and your keys must be collected by 7.30pm when our reception closes.


Departure

Unless otherwise agreed, rooms must be vacated by 10.30am on the day of your departure. An extra daysí charge will apply to checkouts after this time.


Cancellation

In the unfortunate event of us having to cancel your reservation, we would attempt to find you alternative accommodation elsewhere. If this is unviable, we would fully refund any payments made but make no further compensation. Please note that we would only cancel a booking for reasons completely beyond our control.


Damages

Please be respectful when staying at our Guest House. We do not charge for minor breakages but would have to invoice you for significant damage to our property and/or its contents. For example, this includes heavy spillages and stains on carpeting or mattresses. We always attempt to be reasonable and appreciate notification of such occurrences.

Smoking

Norfolk House is designated ëNon-Smokingí. This is in accordance with UK legislation and we would therefore have to ask you to leave immediately if you are found smoking on the premises. Any payments made will not be reimbursed and further charges may occur for lost business as a result of your actions.


Liability

Unless we or people in our employment are proved to be negligent, we cannot accept liability for any loss, damage or injury to guests or their property (including vehicles) during their stay. It is recommended that you take out the relevant holiday insurance to cover this.


Data Protection

We require a certain amount of personal data in order to secure your reservation; this will not be used to contact you about promotions or special offers and will not be shared with third parties. Any credit/debit card details we require for payments will be processed and then immediately shredded. We do not store any of the financial information you provide and we do not use your personal details for marketing.


Left Property

In keeping room charges to a minimum, we have to charge postage & packaging on all left items that need returning. Please contact us as we do not automatically return property.
