The Norfolk is a small, friendly, family run guest house, situated in Southsea, close
to the sea front and convenient for the ferry port and local attractions.
With only eight bedrooms and resident proprietors, you are assured of personal attention
however long your stay.
The Norfolk makes an excellent base for touring the South of England. Within easy
reach there is the New Forest, the cathedral cities of Winchester, Salisbury and
Chichester. Victorian Brighton and Bornemouth are only an hour away by car or train,
or you can take a boat trip and explore the Isle of Wight.
Southsea itself is steeped with maritime history, with HMS Victory, Henry VIII’s
flagship the Mary Rose and HMS Warrior berthed in Portsmouth Dockyard. Across the
harbour, in Gosport, we have the Submarine Museum with HMS Alliance. The D-Day Museum
and the Royal Marines Museum are just a short walk away. Recent developments include
Gunwharf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower.
